About Wendy

I've been staring at this screen for some time now thinking to myself "What would some one want to know about me?" My personality, the things I've accomplished in life or general day-to-day things?  Let me just say that this page is the hardest for me to write!

This is me!

I am 42 years old (no… saying my age doesn’t bother me) I was always told by my grandma that age was just a number not a reflection of who you are or what you can do and I’ve kept that with me.

This is Joe
Our Daughter Shaylee
Our Son Tony

I live in Seattle Washington with my wonderful husband Joe that I have been married to for 22 years.  He is the light of my life! He makes me laugh; he’s my rock and sometimes the person I’d like to throw rocks at!  We married when both of us were 19, had our children Shaylee (now 23) and Tony (now 21) right away.  Joe was in the Navy for the first eight years of our lives and that was just what you did in the military.   Joe and I grew up together, struggled together and those times have made us strong enough to last until the end. I feel very blessed to have Joe in my life.

Joe has always blessed me with the option of staying at home with our kids.  I’ve been an at home “Mom” for all of our married life.  I realized that although I was at home for my kids… I was more at home for Joe and being the support system that he needed. I have had the luxury of trying many different things in my life, spanning from drag racing cars with my dad to breeding poodles and other occasional jobs.  I was in real estate for a while, operated a body bugg business and Scentsy which I still do. I have accomplished only a few things but I’ve master the most important … Family!

My First Baby Blanket
Mostly I am just like you!  Living my day-to-day life.  I go to spin class 4 times a week, do Pilates 2 times a week and play golf with my husband! I enjoy doing all kinds of crafts from knitting to cake decorating.

I love to travel! Boy, I’ve been doing a lot of that lately.  Joe and I bought a vacation home in Arizona just to golf and get some sunshine!  If I’m not jetting off to AZ then I am headed to Missouri or traveling with Joe for his work.   One of my most favorite things is taking photos on the flights the skies are never the same.

Flying First Class!

Flying over Mount Rainer!
I’ve known Angie for about 13 years now and she is my dearest friend.  When she asked me if I wanted to do a blog I thought to myself “Blog?!?  What would I write on a blog?  Angie has tons of crafting ideas and her house is always decorated so lovely!”  She has an eye for colors and what goes together and what doesn’t.  I am a do-er!  Which makes us a great team and I am very excited to create this blog with her.

I think that in closing there are a few statements that sum me up pretty darn good:
  • I believe that we are products of our minds rather then products of our environments.
  •  I believe that first drafts are always better then the edited version.
  • I believe that you are as timeless as you currently want to be.
  • I believe that life and moments unfold for your greater learning.
  •  I laugh more then I cry but I cherish tears!

I hope that you enjoy reading this blog!

Wendy
